Some tools are worth many
times their weight in gold. Such is the case for Killer
Abstract Backgrounds 2. Without a doubt, the
more visually compelling your supporting graphics, the
easier it is to sell your product. This is especially
the case with ebooks and software tools sold on the Net.
If you have a well-designed ebook cover or box or CD
graphics, chances are your product will sell better than
one that doesn't.
The same may be said of
graphical web page headers. The more professional they
look, the more well-designed and captivating, the better
your chance of capturing a visitor's attention and
getting them to lean in and learn more about, read your
sales pitch and make a sale.
Over the years a number
of tools have been released to make it easier for the
novice graphic designer and marketer to develop their
own product and header graphics, but in all honesty most
of these end products look very amateurish and actually
wind up hurting the sale more than helping it.
To that end, Killer
Abstract Backgrounds 2 makes it easier for the
novice or experienced designer to develop stronger, more
visually compelling designs by allowing you to create
and implement good background graphics.

As you can
clearly see in the above examples, the box on the left
looks clean and professional, but it is actually quite
bland while the box on the right looks vibrant and
intriguing. Notice how the addition of the abstract
background makes the V2 logo "pop" and adds
interest to the overall image. Given the choice of
buying the product, most people would click on the image
on the right. That's a subtle example of how the
addition of a simple abstract background can enhance
your product images and potentially your sales.
When I
reviewed the first edition of this graphics collection, Killer
Abstract Backgrounds, I showed an example of a
box I created. Here, too, you can see that by adding an
abstract background image, I am able to make the product
title and supporting images "pop" off the
cover, making the image more visually interesting and
compelling.

Now before Killer
Abstract Backgrounds and Killer
Abstract Backgrounds 2 you would need to spend
either considerable time or money to create this level
of sophisticated background graphics. While you can
purchase background images from stock photo sites, they
are usually upwards of $1.00 each and can not be further
customized and they frequently have usage limitations. Killer
Abstract Backgrounds 2 comes with 36 images in
PSD format, allowing you to change colors, effects, and
combinations to create virtually an unlimited number of
abstract backgrounds. This is money well spent.
You will
need a software tool capable of working with PSD
(PhotoShop files) but there are options here including
Adobe Elements and the freeware GIMP, so all is not lost
if you do not own the more expensive PhotoShop. To see a
